Access control with licence plate recognition, entirely in your browser. One environment for a single car park or dozens, with a separate environment for every company that parks there.
For every car at the barrier, CarlCloud decides whether it may enter or leave, and records everything. Administrators set up sites, companies (tenants) manage their own staff and licence plates, and users see their own passages. A small client app on site controls the cameras, readers and barriers. Everything else runs in the cloud, on a dedicated server per customer.

How it works
The camera reads the licence plate, the client app on site passes it on, CarlCloud decides and the barrier opens. Every step is recorded, so you can always look back at who came in when, and why someone was refused.
Reads the licence plate, or a tag, QR code or PIN code, at the entrance or exit.
Sends the event securely to CarlCloud and drives the relay boards of the barriers.
Known? Active? Right camera? Within the time schedule? Is there space? Only when everything checks out may the car pass.
The gate opens, the count is updated and the passage appears live on the overview straight away.
On premise or cloud
Both work in the browser. The difference is where the software runs. With CAR-L Web-based (on premise) everything runs on a PC or server at your site. With CarlCloud you only have a small client PC on site and the rest runs in the cloud.

Features
From a single barrier at an office building to a multi-tenant complex with dozens of companies, visitors and paid parking. You switch on what you need.
Every user gets one or more credentials. You decide what hangs at the entrance.
Set when someone may enter, for example weekdays from 7:00 to 19:00.
A camera sometimes reads a 0 as an O or an 8 as a B. CarlCloud recognises such near-identical reads, so the barrier still opens for those who belong there.
Draw the site on a floor plan and link gates, cameras, readers and intercoms.
The same car or tag cannot enter twice in a row. With 2-way anti-passback it cannot leave twice in a row either.
Per site you see how many cars are inside and how many spaces are free, with the latest passages live alongside.
Counting on three levels
A site has a fixed number of spaces. You divide them among the companies, and each company divides its spaces among its people. For every car, CarlCloud checks all three.
Roles
CarlCloud works with fixed roles. Everyone only sees and changes what falls under them. So the administrator does not have to enter every new employee of every company personally.

Logins receive an email invitation and choose their own password. Two-factor authentication can be set per account. Tenants never see data of other companies on the same site.
Visitors
Add a temporary licence plate for a visitor or supplier on the overview in a few seconds. It disappears automatically afterwards.
A visitor who rings the right company can get a ticket for the licence plate in front of the camera. Each tenant's phone numbers are loaded into the intercom automatically.
With the reservation module a tenant books a space for a licence plate and a period. The reservation grants access, even if the plate is otherwise unknown.
On a tablet at reception, a tenant lets a visitor leave with their PIN code: enter the plate, confirm, and the car may drive out for a short time.
Does a user hold their tag at the reader while their new car is in front of the camera? Then that plate becomes their regular plate from now on.
Rates per quarter of an hour with a daily maximum, or a fixed price. Free quarters are possible. At the exit CarlCloud starts the payment on the CCV terminal itself; if there is nothing to pay, the barrier opens straight away.

Frequently asked questions
The client app on site keeps working. It decides on its own using the last list it received from CarlCloud, or always opens, depending on the setting. Once the connection is back, everything works normally again. The overview shows whether the client app is connected.
Yes. With the migration tool we transfer tenants, users, licence plates and cards from your existing CAR-L database. Existing integrations through the CAR-L API keep working with the CarlCloud API v1.
No. A tenant only sees its own users, licence plates and passages. Data of other companies on the same site is never visible.
Yes. Per user you set whether the number of plates equals their number of spaces, or is unlimited. With unlimited, there are never more cars inside at the same time than they have spaces.

Every customer gets its own server, optionally on its own web address. Email addresses are stored encrypted and a backup is made every day.
